The Cause
The Shades Valley Rotary Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit which supports the Rotary Club of Shades Valley in outreach projects.
Disaster Relief - Shades Valley Rotarians partner with other Rotary clubs to raise funds and gather supplies for local families affected by tornadoes.
Shades Valley, in partnership with United Methodist Committee on Relief and other Rotarians, purchases cleaning supplies and assemble buckets for those affected by natural disasters all over the world.
Community College and Vocational School Scholarships - Over the last 3 years, Shades Valley Rotary has closed the financial gap for over 25 local students attending
community colleges for nursing, welding, CDL licenses, video gam design, cosmetology, etc.
The Glenn
Glenn E. Estess, Sr. was a beloved member of the Rotary Club of Shades Valley. He served as President of Rotary International in 2004-2005. He also served in many other leadership roles for Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation, and District 6860 during his 41 years as a Rotarian.
Glenn was a Rotary Foundation Major Donor, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Benefactor. He was the recipient of the Citation for Meritorious Service and The Rotary Foundation's Distinguished Service Award.
